Scene: Unknown.

Darkness surrounds her as her mind grows foggy. Her heart is triumphantly racing as she reaches out for any sign of life, but her legs quickly grow numb. She does her best to regain her focus, but her head continues to pound as the pressure mounts. The next moment she is falling and when she hit’s the floor, a million pieces shatter like her muddled existence.

The pain is unbearable. There are no words that can express the feelings of anguish and resentment she feels at the moment. She wants so badly to go back….but what does she truly have to go back to? She knows going back is impossible at this point.

Or is it?

First she must understand where she is and why she is in such a dark place. Suddenly a flicker of light appears and she nearly screams when she sees her reflection in the mirror. She can make herself out only in a hazy picture with smoke leaving her body.

Is she on fire?

She quickly closes her eyes and prays for the pain to go away…when she reopens her eyes she is taken to a quite different place.

It’s not hell- or is it?

She looks around at the familiar photos that adorn the wall. She glances at the collection of books that take up the shelves before her.

She’s in her father’s study. She tries to scream for any sign of life.

Nothing. There is no sound.

Is she dead? Is she alive? Kaylee Crawford looks around the room until she fixates on a particular book that sits on her father’s desk. It’s her most private thoughts laid out for anyone to read. Her diary lies there and she quickly tries to grab it. She soon realizes she has no sense of touch….other than the ability to see what she cannot have, she is void of all senses.

Tears begins to emerge in her eyes as a figure enters the room. She finally makes out in the haze that it’s her father, Darkness surrounds Sam. She does her best to scream once again.

Still there is no sound.

She braces to try once more and this time, to her ultimate surprise, he turns around. He looks around the room and then he stares in her direction- but does he truly see her?
