Scene: Saint Francis Cemetery.

Nearly a week has passed since Sam Crawford had to bury his own daughter. Never imagining that things would transpire the way they did, Sam always felt time was on his side. Knowing that Nearly a week has passed since Kaylee had faced such battles with depression over the years, he was always a firm believer that she was strong enough to concur each new war she waged.

Of course Sam now realized he was horribly wrong and there was no way he could go back in time to save his daughter. It was all over now and now all he could do was try to pick up the shattered pieces of his life and move on.

Visiting her grave today had been the furthest thing from his mind when he first woke up this morning. Although the alternative was moping around the house all day as Nearly a week has passed since Monica threw herself in the kitchen and pretended that today was going to be just like any old normal Thanksgiving celebration.

But what did Sam really have to be thankful for? His daughter was now gone, his son barely speaks to him, and he’s constantly waging war with his wife. Furthermore, he’s supposedly raising a daughter that is fathered by Bo Coleson- could there be any bigger slap in the face?

As he nears her grave, he notices there’s a figure standing before it. He finally makes out Nearly a week has passed since Nick Schneider and instantly startles the young man when he says hello.

"Mr. Crawford…I wasn’t expecting you here today." Nick replies.

"Yeah, I didn’t expect to come here either…but I guess we both knew this was better than the alternative. Hell, Monica is going crazy and denying the whole thing happened. I can barely stand to be around her like this." Sam reveals.

"I suppose everyone takes things differently. Some deal with it head-on and others try their best to hide under a blanket of denial."

"Very true, son. So, what are your plans for thanksgiving today? Most of your family moved away, right?"

"Just about everyone, yes. Kaylee and I had made plans a few weeks ago, but obviously….well…"

"Well, you’re just going to have to come back with me then, Nick. There’s plenty of food at the house and there’s nothing more memorable than a Crawford holiday dinner."

"I don’t know if Mrs. Crawford would like that…" Nick grows worried.

"You just let me deal with Mrs. Crawford, okay? God knows I’ve dealt with her shenanigans all these years. She certainly won’t get upset with me inviting a guest to dinner."
