Scene: The Crawford Estate.
"Well, that's certainly reassuring. So what has you away from the office today?"
After Sam exits the room, Monica is met by yet another voice that makes her cringe. It's the woman who was responsible for nearly tearing away her dreams when she worked as Monica's boss all those years ago. Her name is Penny Crawford and she's certainly a force to be reckoned with in South Beach.
"Monica! Just the woman I wanted to see! How are you today, my dear?"
"Don't dear me, you black widow. Don't you have some potential mates to murder out there? I really don't have time for you today."
"Oh, you always know how to put a smile on my face. It's my brother who needs to watch his back though. I'm sure you sleep with a knife behind your pillow each night just waiting for the perfect moment to go in for the kill!"
"Oh, don't get your panties in a bunch. If I was going to murder my husband, I would have done it long ago." Monica smiles.
"That's honestly none of your business, Penny."
"Some work ethic I see."
"Don't you dare speculate about my work ethic. I certainly don't answer to you and we both know I built my company from the ground up."
"Thank heavens I helped you out a few years back so the company didn't go six feet under."
Monica quickly whips back around. "Excuse me? My company was doing just fine before you butted in and tried changing everything! I still don't know what Eugene was thinking by giving you part ownership of Crawford Cosmetics."
"She was obviously a very bright woman and realized that if the company was going to reach it's full potential it would be under my helm."
"You are absolutely insane!" Monica screams back when she's interrupted by her phone. She quickly answers to a frantic Adam who is in tears on the other line.
