Scene: The Crawford Estate.

Monica lays suspicious eyes on a letter she's received with no return address. She slowly begins to tear open the envelope and a white folded paper is revealed inside. She quickly unfolds the letter and is taken back when she reads the message.

"I know the truth about Sarah- and soon everyone else will too."

A frightened Monica drops the letter as she quickly looks around the room and ensures no one is around. Her mind instantly races in overdrive as she tries to uncover who the letter could be from. There is no handwriting to trace- just letters arranged together that are obviously cut out of magazines and newspapers.

"Who the hell would do such a thing? And how could anyone know? I covered my tracks so well…" Monica thinks aloud before she's startled by another voice behind her.

"What tracks, my dear?" Sam reveals himself from the shadows.

"What in God's name are you doing here? I thought you were at the office…" Monica quickly picks up the letter and folds it tightly so he can't read what's inside.

"I was. I came home for lunch. So what do you have in your hand?"

"Nothing. It's private. Will you please just mind your own business?" Monica scoffs.

"You're sounding jumpy like my ill-conceived sister …" Sam laughs.

"Oh, don't you dare compare me to that bitch. You've really crossed the line, Sam."

"I'm just saying what I'm observing. So you're not going to tell me what the letter says?"

"No, Sam, I'm not. It's personal and you just need to mind your own business, okay?"

"That's fine for now. But remember Monica, everything always comes out in the open and I'm sure when it does it will hit you right in the face…"
