Scene: The Coleson Residence.
Lindsey now looks into a mirror
that is mounted on the wall and studies her reflection closely. With shaky
fingers, she slowly raises her right hand and cups her right breast. It's funny,
she thinks, how something that is seen as a sexual object to most men could
inflict so much pain and terror in the eyes of so many.
Lindsey Coleson quickly flips through an old photo album and sets it down on the table before tears emerge. She wishes so badly that she could go back to a time of peace and tranquility- if there was ever such a time. Indeed, there was a time where she didn't have to worry about battling a deadly cancer and dealing with the affects it would have on her fearful family.
While it has been over three years since the cancer was evident, there isn't a day that Lindsey doesn't wake up fearing the worst- that the cancer will return and once again tear apart those that she loves so much. One man, in particular, has been by her side through the whole process. Her husband of thirty years, Bo Coleson has proven his loyalty and love for her- despite a few indiscretions along the way.

But If Lindsey was anything, it was a trooper. After all, learning that Bo had fathered a child with Monica nearly a decade ago was enough of a revelation to tear anyone apart- but Lindsey stood by her man and forgave him for everything. What else was she supposed to? They had the twins to care for and she was in her mid-forties at the time. Was she supposed to just throw everything away and start a new life? The thought gave Lindsey the chills. Surely they could work things out, and time proved she was right.
"You in here, hun?" Bo calls out from outside the door.
"Yes. Come in if you'd like." Lindsey replies as she lowers her hand back down to her side.
"What are you up to in here? It's not often I see you up in the attic."
"I was just going through some old photo albums. I guess I was just being reminiscent today."
"Well, it happens to the best of us." Bo cracks a smile. "It's hot as hell up here. Jesus, I don't remember the last time I was up here, hun."
"It's an inferno full of treasures," Lindsey replies as she sets the photo album back in the box.
"Alright, well I'll be downstairs. Come down whenever you're ready."
"Will do."
Bo retreats down the stairs leaving Lindsey once again alone in the humid attic. She looks back at her reflection and notices a tear trickling down her cheek. She fears the worst is about to come- her battle certainly isn't over yet.
