Emily Landon Age: 47 Occupation: Owner of Landon Points Publishing Corp. Relations: Aunt of Kayla Preston. Sister-in-law of Vanessa Devereaux. Great-Aunt of Haylie. Marital Status: Single Residence: Landon Manor. 2669 Pacifica Blvd. Appearances: Season One- Present Bio: Vindictive and Vivacious. Power Hungry and Militant. Sophisticated and witty. Elegant and Beautiful. These are all terms that can be overheard when those secretly chatter under their breath about Pacifica Heights finest first lady. She first came into the limelight when her Father, Business Entrepreneur Tom Landon, was diagnosed with cancer in the early nineties. It was well known that her elder brother, Miles, and her Father had a horrid falling out and that Emily was assumed heiress of all the Landon Fortunes. Indeed, when her Father passed in 1992, Emily seized control of all the familys assets and would now be the owner of the multi-million dollar company, Landon Points Publishing Corp. Miles, whom would not see a single thing in the will, would prove to be lucky when Emily decided to share her assets with her close brother and invited him and his family back to live in Landon Manor. Tragedy would soon strike again nearly five years later when her brother was killed in a car accident. The accident would leave Vanessa, whom Emily was (quite publicly) not fond of, and her niece Kayla residing in the mansion. Vanessa would soon disappear to France, leaving Kayla under Emilys guidance. While work took up much of her time, she still found the energy to instill strength and confidence into her niece. After being forbidden by her Father to be with her true love, Steve Summers, Emily never dated thereafter. She focused on learning all she could about the Family business and relied on the strength of being a powerful and influential woman who symbolized independence. After her Father's death, she did however offer Steve a high-profile position at Landon Points in hopes to rekindle their former love. Of course, Steve was married to Diane and had two children, but all of this never diluted Emily's hopes in stealing him away. In the last decade, Emily's antics have proven to be more over-the-top each time in her efforts to thwart Steve's affections away from Diane. Recently, she became somewhat successful in her plans when she relieved Diane of her coveted Editor-in-Chief position with one of Landons papers and transported her into a Marketing position that would take much more of her time, and ultimately create more space between she and Steve. After a breakdown, Diane finally convinced Steve of all of Emily's evils and manipulation, and to Emilys shock, Steve finally sided with his wife. Desperate to rid Diane once and for all, Emily recently bribed Diane's mother, Helen Davison, into returning to Pacifica Heights with Diane's illegitimate daughter. Sure to send shockwaves into the community, more so Emily believes that this shall be the final straw in their marriage. The revelation and scandal would also attract Emily due to its relevance in taking the limelight off of her and recently deceased husband, Hal McCullough. After a vicious fight between the two, Emily aided Steve's help in defending herself from Hal after making up a story that Hal had thrown her into a mirror (Emily in fact had thrown herself, causing her own injuries to try and prove such). While Hal had also gotten into arguments with the heartbroken Kayla, whom was unstable after learning the cause of her Father's death, and threats from Steve ensued, it was a mystery to all who in fact had shot the gun that fatally wounded Hal. While Kayla proved to be the primary suspect after she had indeed had the blood on her hands and reported him dead, she was later acquitted of all charges to Emilys relief...Indeed, this new scandal couldnt come at the perfect time to shine the spotlight elsewhere...
