Marital Status: Divorced from Steve Summers (S2-) Residence: Davison Estate (Shared with Helen and Ashley). Appearances: Season One- Present Bio: Once looked upon as the calm doting wife of Business Exec. Steve Summers, Diane has inadvertently shown her stronger side as adversity has mounted at the hands of Emily Landon. A former love of Steve, Emily has continually tried to wedge her way back into Steve's heart by creating turmoil for Diane's career at Landon Points. Formerly the revered Editor-in-Chief of The Pacifica Press, Emily relieved her of the position and moved her into a Marketing Position which would cause Diane less time to spend with her husband. However, Emilys plans seemed to create a backlash when Diane showed her power in making Steve see all the horrific antics she had been pulling. Just when the strong currents in her marriage with Steve seemed to settle, Emily pulled her most daring and malevolent move yet by bribing Diane's mother, Helen, in aiding to revealing Dianes dark past. This past would include a daughter, Ashley, that Diane had conceived when she was eighteen and given to her Mother to raise. Never revealing such when she met Steve almost twenty-five years ago, the secret has been tightly kept in the dark by Diane ever since. The past year alone has also included many other hurdles that Diane has had to face with desperation to find understanding and the courage within. On New Years of 2007, her daughter Kimberly would out her son Jason as being gay. Not only would Diane have to search hard within to find understanding, she would also have to comfort Jason in the subsequent months as his pain and frustration ensued. While their relationship has since deepened, Kimberlys continuous escapades and antics have caused a serious disintegration in the relationship with her daughter. In Recent months, Kimberly has tried convincing all that she is turning over a new leaf, but will Diane be perceptive enough to see through such? Another battle for Diane was her continuous reliance on Alcohol when times proved hard. While she realized a problem was growing, her bouts have been rare as life since calmed. However, with the recent revelation of having another daughter back in town and the reappearance of her Mother, will Diane gain the strength to turn away the bottle for long?
